2019 UK Police Unity Tour underway

2019 UK Police Unity Tour

20 officers and staff from Cambridgeshire Constabulary are riding in their own time in memory of fallen officers, cycling from Police HQ in Huntingdon all the way to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

Between now and Sunday the team will cycle 100 miles all in aid of Care of Police Survivors (COPS).

COPS is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives whilst on duty.

They aim to ensure that survivors have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy, and that they remain part of the police family as they rebuild their lives.

COPS enables survivors to help survivors, the extent of help provided will always be controlled by the new survivor. Sometimes an understanding listener is needed. Sometimes more practical help is required. Whatever the need, COPS will be able to put survivors in touch with those who truly understand.

If you would like to donate money to help COPS please visit the team’s Just Giving page at Cambs Police Unity Tour 2019 page

Comberton Scorcher 25 July 2019

A scorcher today in Comberton

We hit 36.8 in the shade this afternoon… 25 July 2019

Apparently those in Cambridge City got to a UK record 38.1, so we are CooL.

Phew

If we get a similar hot plume then keep cool – close curtains and windows after 10am until 7pm (yes – but it works), Then open all windows after 9pm until 7am to refresh your dwelling.

If you want to chill out them simply visit St’ Mary’s Church, sit in the pews then contemplate or read  a novel  maybe on your kindle.

There’s a loo and drinking water so no problems out/in.

It’s free 🙂
