Christmas Trees Collected and Recycled – for free

The Arthur Rank Hospice charity will be offering a real tree collection and recycling service that covers Comberton.

If you don’t want the hassle of getting rid of your tree they could collect it and recycle it for you between 12-15 January 2023.

In 2022, they collected just over 3000 trees and raised over £56,000!

After costs, Just Helping receives 10% of monies raised to help towards administration and routing costs, after this, Arthur Rank receive at least 90% of monies raised and up to 10% is given to other local charities.

Registration is easy! their partnered charity JustHelping (registered charity number 1149068) look after the registrations and routing. Register your details with them by clicking the ‘register your tree’ link below and they will collect your tree.

No needles in your car and no fuel costs!


Ways to get involved!

Arthur Rank Hospice and Just Helping are looking for volunteers to help collect trees.

Do you own a van or are you happy to drive a rental vehicle or assist in the passenger seat? Are you a business who can utilise some volunteer hours to help? Please email them on @  or call 01223 675888.

Wildlife Survey – help needed urgently

The Parish Council would like to use your local knowledge to do their wildlife survey around the large field south of Branch Road proposed by Endurance Estates to build a 200 unit retirement ‘village’.

They would be grateful for information regarding any wildlife sightings or records made in the last 2 years, both in the main field, the orchard area, the Recreation Ground and its extension or adjacent fields/properties/roads.
