Comberton ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’

Thanks to Jodi Iggulden, an assistant at Comberton Playgroup, a Bear Hunt has been established round the village.

Remember you should only ‘hunt’ for Bears in a Family group with an adult, keeping 2m away from other walkers. Do not enter private gardens; the bears are visible from the pavement  or verge and usually identified by a number.

If you use FaceBook then there is a closed user group of bears and Hunters here who are allocating numbers to identify bears.

If you don’t use facebook or join facebook groups and have a bear or more to display
then use your house number and add a letter (to differentiate it to any other bear with just the number)

Ballad of Comberton Gaol wot was wrote by an isolating pensioner

A pensioner, shopping I’m told,
Took the Good Lord aside – rather bold.
“It’s not just the virus
You’ve sent to devour us
We’ve run out of loo rolls – all sold”.

The Good Lord was far from contrite
“If you think I’ve got time, you’re not right
The virus I’ll level
Just came from the Devil
I’ve wars floods and famines to fight”.

But the pensioner making a fuss,
replied “Now I can’t go on the bus.
You’ve restricted my travel
I’m sure to unravel,
Leave famines etc., think ‘Us’,”

Now, wearily, thus spake the Lord
“I’m fed up with you lot, and bored.
You’re not really needy
Just totally greedy,
Go think ‘Isolation‘,” he roared.
